MR. MASSEY’S RETURN.
DUE AT AUCKLAND SEPTEMBER 30 The Prime Minister (Mr. Massey), who is now on his way across the Pacific. is due in Auckland on Friday, September 30. and it is anticipated that he will be to take his seat when the House of Representatives siti on the following Tuesday. Parliament will then have had only six sitting days, including two devoted chiefly t< formal business, and vq*y little progress will have been made with worl of the session. It is quite likely, in. deed, that the Address-in-Reply debate will not be completed before Mr. Maa* sey takes his seat.
Preparations for the session are novi in progress at the Parliamentary Build-' ings. Many rooms in the new buildhave been completed since last session, and some of this additional aocommodation is being made ready for occupation. The Speaker is going into his permanent quarters. The furnishing of the new rooms appears to cost a good deal of money already.
