Tn an exhibition match, Washburn and Williams defeated Anderson and Todd G—3, 6—3, 6—2. The Australians played smoothly together, but insufficiently forcibly to hold their rivals to any degree. The Americans gained the principal opportunities in all sets off Todd’s service.
The points were: Americans 32, 35, 31; Australians 23, 27, 19.
