CROQUET.
THE TARANAKI ASSOCIATION. A general meeting of the Taranaki District Croquet Association was held in the Soldiers’ Club, New Plymouth, yesterday, when there was a good attendance of members from various clubs. Dr. Home presided. An apology for absence was received from the Stratford Club.
The balance-sheet, showing a credit of £l2, was adopted without discussion. It was arranged to hold a Taranaki croquet tournament in February next, from - about the 10th to the 15th of the month. The chairman generously offered a trophy for the winners of a teams’ match, to be played during the tournament. It was decided to hold the annual meeting on the first Wednesday in September, 1922. A vote of thanks to the chairman concluded the meeting.
