CANTERBURY MARKETS. By Telegraph.—Press AssociationChristchurch, Last Night. Business is generally less active than it has been, for the past, two weeks, but there is no change in the quotations. There is a Home enquiry for both cowgrass and cocksfoot, which are firm at late quotations. Danish cocksfoot recently appreciated by £lO to £l2 per ton, which removes tne possioiltty of any conning to this country, as the price puts it well ahead of local values. Australia has also offered up to lOd for machine dressed f.0.b., but although no business was done at this figure, the fact of the offer indicates a satisfactory outlook. The healthy tone in both Italian and perennial ryegrass is being maintained, being a shade stronger without alteration. Quotations for machine dressed are worth up to 5s Ud for perennial, and 5s 9d for Italian f.0.b., about 4s to 4s 3d at country stations. Oats ■ are fairly firm, and one or two firms have been operating freely during the past week. Values are unchanged. Chaff is still weak, there being very little demand. AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.
