ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
KILLED ON RAILWAY LINE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, Sept. 2. s The body of an unknown, man, aged about 60 years, was found on the railway line between Wallacetown and Makarewa this morning. He was apparently struck by a locomotive, as thp skull was split open. On the previous night he was seen walking on the line towards Winton. MARRIED MAN’S DEATH. Wanganui, Sept. 2. The body of Edward W. Hains worth, aged about fifty, was found this morning with the throat cut. Deceased, who leaves a wife and several children, had been suffering from nervous trouble recently.
