The Dail Eireann’s reply to Britain in the peace negotiations has been despatched to Mr. Lloyd George, who is in Scotland. Received Sept. 2, 5.5 p.m. ' London, Sept. 2. The Irish Bulletin on Thursday night had a significant conoiliahory article stating that the Irish people should accept the fact that Britain and Ireland are closely linked. The paper says there is no incompatability between recognition of Ireland’s right to independence and a close bond of union between Ireland and Britain. Whatever qualifications of (complete 'political and economic separation are necessary, owing to the physical and historical facts, they would be acceptable to Ireland, provided they were consonant with the principle of government by the consent of the governed.—Aus.-N.Z. Messrs Robert Barten, M.P., and McGrath, two representatives of Sinn Fein, [arrived by train at Inverness in the forenoon and motored to Gairloch with the Dail Eireann’s reply to Air.
