WAR IN MOROCCO.
OUTLOOK VERY GRAVE. SPREAD OF REVOLT. THREAT TO FRANCE. By Telegraph .--Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Sept. 1. The Paris correspondent of the Daily Express states that the news from Morocco is very grave. The rebellion is spreading, and now threatens the edge of the French zone
Small Spanish posts opposite the French posts have been evacuated, and the Spanish have retired upon Larachc. The rebels have cut the ChechaouenTetuan line and surrounded and probably captured the soldiers holding the blockhouses. The Riffs are within three miles of Elkasr, and are executing a movement to cut off Elkasr from' Tangiers. Europeans are leaving for Larache.
There is heavy censorship in Madrid, which prevents any but'optimistic news leaking out. The King hurriedly left Santander for Madrid. There is considerable excitement at the statement that the 1921 class has been mobilised for overseas. The Minister of War favors sending 100,000 men, but in many cases the men refuse to sail.
