The vice-president of the Reichs Bank announces that Germany has alreadj’ paid the 1,000,000,000 gold marks due to the Allies on August 31, although the payment entailed the despatch to New York of 68,000,000 marks in gold from the Reichs Bank reserves.'—Aus.-N.Z.
