SUPREME COURT.
CHRISTCHURCH SESSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, August 18. In l the Supreme Court, members of the West Central Timber Syndicate sued Herbert Gladstone Hill for £5OO, which they alleged' he had agreed to contribute. They also asked the Court to declare he was a member of the syndicate. Defendant denied that he was a member of the syndicate. It was stated in evidence that the syndicate was formed to float the Great. Western Timber Co., to work forests at Okarito, but it was impossible to float the company. The Court declared Hill a member of the syndicate, but limited his liability to £5OO.
