RETAINING EXISTING FLEET. BRITAIN TO PAY COST. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received August 5, 5.5 p.m. London, August 4. Mr. Winston Churchill (Secretary for the Colonies) announced in the House of Commons that the Imperial Conference’s decision regarding airships was that the existing material for the development of Imperial air communications be retained until the Dominions decided its future. He estimated the cost of the airships for five months as £16,000.

Mr. W F. Massey informs the Australian Press Association that the Dominions are not sharing in the maintenance expenditure unless their Parliaments expressly authorise it.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
