INGLEWOOD.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) July 22. The Inglewood Fire Brigade cribbage team are in good humor this morning. Last night’s round of games in the Crib Association’s tournament resulted in their favor and they are therefore the holders of the shield for another term. The scores last night were: Foresters v. Bowlers, a tie, 15 each; Egmont Village v. Waitoriki, a win by 30 to 19; and Fire Brigade v. Druids, a win, 28 to 20. The Fire Brigade came out of the contest with only one defeat and the Village with two. The shield of the Inglewood Cribbage Association was started in 1912 and on it are recorded, on silver plates, the winners of each year’s competition: Egmon't Village 1912, The Bowlers 1913 and 1914, Inglewood Fire Brigade 1915. with 1921 to be added. The interval is accounted for by the general chaos during the war. Mora interest has been taken in the tournament this season than heretofore, and it is quite on the cards that other clubs will cut in as competitors next season.

Mrs. Tremlett, whose business premises in Moa Street are well-known, has secured the premises next to the Post Office, recently occupied by Air. Ible, and as will be seen by advertisement, having had the building prepared properly for her requirements, intends opening them on Monday next.
