INGLEWOOD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) July 21. The rough weather of Wednesday was against the interests of the Farmer-’ Co-op. sale at Inglewood, and there was only a fair yarding of stock, and not a crowded attendance; in fact the day was in favor of buyers. Nevertheless, the late rates were pretty well maintained, dairy stock proving in request, and the Jersey strain still a strong factor in the choice of female stock. Mixed heifer calves sold for 50s, steers 455, Jersey cross heifers £5 12s fxl to £7 4s; for a choice line of 20-month empty heifers, £4 12s 6d; similar cattle showing Friesian blood, £5; store cows, £3; three-year-ofd Jersey strain heifers, empty. £7; two-year-old Friesian heifers, in calf, £6 Is; Jersey heifers, springing, up to £l3; springing cows, £7 to £l5.
The many friends of Mr! W. E. Percival, of Inglewood, will learn with sin cere regret that his long illness shows no sign of abating. He is confined to his home, and his condition is causing his friends very grave anxiety.
