GOVERNING SAMOA.
THE HON. E. P. LEE’S TOUR. GOOD RESULTS REPORTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright. Received July 19, 5.5 p.m. Apia, July 18. The visit to Samoa of the Minister of External Affaire (the Hon. E. P. Lee) concluded on Sunday, and the Minister and party sailed in the evening f or Pago Pago in the steamer Fortune, which was placed specially at Mr. Lee’s disposal bv the Governor of American Samoa. At Pago Pago the Ministerial party join the Ventura t for Sydney, catching the Manuka there for Wellington.
Mr. Lee stated that during the thirteen days iie spent in Samoa he had an extremely busy time, many conferences having been held with the Administrator, officers of all departments and other bodies, resulting in many important, matters relating to administration being settled. He, moreover, had been enabled to make enquiry into the whole scheme of administration, and the information obtained on all sides had been valuable to the management of the departments, and for the good of all.—Aus.-N.Z.
