This production has been widely heralded as one of the most satisfying and sensational’of its kind ever made.°and has proved a strong attraction here. Followers of Mix pictures declare it io be Mix's best,, not only for its thrilling situations and the opportunities given the star for feats of daring, but for the weird interest inherent in its story. A ‘big Sunshine comedy and gazettes are also on the bill.

EVERYBODY’S. DOROTHY DALTON IN “BLACK IS WHITE.” To-night’s new bill at Everybody’s presents dashing Dorothy Dalton in her latest Paramount production, "Black is White/” a powerful drama of New York and Parisian life, from the original story by George Barr McCutcheon. Drainage -situations of a logical yet enthralling character there are in abundance. These oc ur when the husband in frenzied jealousy drives his wife from his home; when he meets her fifteen years later as the idol of Paris, and, failing to recognise her, <oves and re-mar-ries her; when, again in the grip of jealousy he threatens to kill her and his son; and when she confesses her identity and they are reconciled. There are thrills and tears and smiles for all in this picture. A big Mack Sennett comedy, gazette and “Bride 13” are also on the bill. BIG SPECIAL ATTRACTION FRIDAY.

One by one the famous stories of Robert Louis Stevenson are finding their way to the screen. “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” is the latest, it having been filmed as a Param »unt-Artcraft Royalty masterpiece. With John Barrymore in the role of dual identity, the film will be presented at Everybody’s Theatre on Friday next, commencing at the matinee at 2.30. Stevenson’s narratives, rich in action and dramatic quality, have long been regarded as excellent film material, and the Paramount-Artcraft organisation were considered to have gained a “scoop” when they secured the screen rights to “Treasure Island” and “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”—especially the latter. Such a story demanded the highest skill in each phase of its making, and it is a credit to the judgment of the producers that they engaged John Barrymore, universally recognised as the world’s greatest tragedian, to play the title role. His is said to be a wonderful impersonation, awful in its intensity; sublime, however, in its artistry. The big "Republic” 6reel drama of mystery and thrills, “The Blue Pearl,” will also be presented. The box plan opens at Collier’s to-morroW.
