SUPREME COURT.
ALLEGED INDECENT ASSAULT. JURY AGAIN DISAGREES. The New Plymouth sessions of the Supreme Uourt were continued yesterday, before Mr. Justice Reed. Stuart J. D. Russell came up for retrial on a charge ofSndecent assault on a little girl, eight years of age, at the East End Reserve on February 19. Mr. C. H. Weston appeared for the Crown, and Mr. A. A. Bennett appeared on behalf of accused, who pleaded not guilty. The following jury was empanelled:— Messrs. T. Hawkins, J. A. Boswell, R. Paul, W. Revell, H. J. Bedford, W. H. Beadle, W. Healy, W. A. Dingle, W. B. Grant, S. G. Higgs, W. Inch, E. Jackson. Mr. Jackson was chosen foreman. The jury was absent for the full four hours, and on returning announced a disagreement. His Honor said he would take time to consider whether he wnuld order a third trial, aiki he would give his dejxsion this morning.
