RAILWAYS MANAGER.

VISIT TO TARANAKI. AT NEW PLYMOUTH TO-NIGHT. The General Manager of Railways (Mr. R. W. McVilly) will arrive in New Plymouth by to-night’s express, his visit being in accordance with requests made by a number of local bodies, who have various matters to put forward to him. On Monday Mr. McVilly receives Ur number of deputations, including rep- , representatives from the Harbor Board, Chamber of Commerce, Agricultural Society, and Hospital Board. In the afternoon he will visit Waitara. and on. Tuesday morning he goes to Stratford, and thence to Pohokura (on the Strat-ford-Okahukura line).
