Ngamoko, a small settlement near Norsewood, in close proximity to the Ruahine Ranges, is excited over the reported discovery of gold in the Ruahines. A correspondent of the Dannevirke News reports that a settler at Norsewood, named Pomerans, who has been prospecting in the Ruahines for some time brought in some specimens which are said to be gold-bearing.
