MAN STEALS COFFIN.
TO USE IT AS A BOAT. By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright. Received April 19, 7.40 p.m. Brisbane, April 19. A man was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment for stealing a coffin. When arrested he was drunk, and was staggering along the street ,vith the coffin on his shoulders. He declared he purchased and slept in the coffin the previous night, and was then taking it to the river to use as a boat.—Aus. and N-Z. Cable Assn.
