Capetown, April 13. The Senate without a division, rejected ex-President Reitz’s motion disapproving of granting titles within the South African Union. AAIERICAN STEEL. New York, April 13. The United States Steel Corporation, the largest producer of steel in Amerlca, has announced price reductions of from one to fifteen dollars per ton. It is expected the concern, which is the largest employer of labor, will shortly announce reductions in wages and a reduction in hours from ten to eight. AMERICA AND IRISH REPUBLIC. Washington, April 13. Senator La Follette has introduced a resolution into the Senate asking the United States to accord recognition to the Independent Irish Republic. The measure has been referred to the eign Releations Committee.
