At White Sulphur Springs, Hutchinson, who won the Pinehurst golf chain)pionskip, reached first place in the third round of the local championship, doing 18 holes in 67, giving a total of 214 for 54 holes. Kirkwood .and Walker -tied for second place with a Score of 217, Kirkwood doing the third round in 72.--Aus.-N Z. Cable Assn. STRATFORD CLUB. The seventeenth annual meeting of the Stratford Golf Club was he’d on Wednesday night. The president (Mr. J. S. Lyons) occupied the chair, some fifteen other 'members being present. The secretary (Mr. W. P. Pratt) presented the report and balance-shee 1 , showing a credit of £4 5s 2d. The report stated that the year had been a good one, and that the club had succeeded in securing a. further temporary lease from the Stratford Racing Club, having been unable to make arrangements for a ground of its own. The chairman, in moving the adoption of the report, congratulated the club on the year’s work and thanked members for tlie active interest taken in play, end the support accorded him during his very pleasant year of office. He hoped tlie coming season would be even more successful.

Mr. Philip Skoglund second-d the motion, which was carried.

The election of officers resulted as follows : President, Mr. E. S. Rutherforj, l ; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. D. H. Hill and R. B. Anderson; club captain, Mr. J. S. Lyons; conupiittee, Messrs. H. E. Abraham, D. J. Malone, G. E. Jago and J. E. Winter; lion, auditor, Mr. I’. .S. Skoglund; hon. secretary, Mr. W. P. Pratt.

A recommendation was made to the incoming committee to visit certain properties with a. view to acquiring, If possible, a permanent links for the club.

A hearty vote of thinks was passed to the lady members of the club for providing afternoon teas, to the outgoing officials, to the secretary (Mr Pratt), and to Messrs. Spence, Butt erf ord, Macalister and Coleman for the use of their board room.
