OLD SETTLER’S DEATH. (From Our Own Correspondent.) (By the death of Mr. H. A. Haverbier another link with the history of the development of InglewOod district was severed. Mr. Haverbier came to Taranaiki frbm Holstein in 1874, and after various’ vicissitudes / settled for we seven or eight years as tenant on Mr. F. Earp’s farm, Egmto-nt Road north. Some five years ago he sold his Karmata property and came to live near Inglewood, and in 1919 again moved to live near Haw’era, where he died. As a pioneer settler Mr. Haver bier was a valuable asset to the land of his adoption, and was qjwaye a keen supporter of any forward movement, especially of a co-operative nature. He was one of the promoters of the Moa Farmers’ Go-operative Society, as well as the 'Moa Dairy Factory Company. He also worthily filled, other positions ?of public utility, as member of the Moa Road Board and of the Kaimata School Committee. A family of two sons and four daughters, as well as thirteen grandchildren, are left
