March 26 The general manager of the Mount Morgan Gold-mining Co. conferred representatives of the union and explained that, owing to the perilous plight of the copper market, all employees, from nimself to the office boy, would be compelled to choose between a redu-dtion of wages by 30 per cent, and unemployment.
