FORGERY ALLEGED.
SUM OF £5OO INVOLVED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. On ehargds of having forged Union Steamship Company’s allotment notes, Edward Robur Stone, or Jonefi, was today committed for trial. It was stated accused secured allotment forms which he filled in and secured money from a local financial agency. Mr. Spiro, manager of the latter, said £5OO had been paid to accused and on applying to the company for payment he was informed they did not know the forms had been issued. Witness received ten per cent per month on the transactions,
