FALL IN WAGES.
BRITISH RAILWAYMEN’S LOSS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received March 23, 7.45 p.m. London, March 22. The central wages board to-day decided that ’ail-waymen’s wages must be reduced four shillings, thus saving the railways £7.200,000 per year. The railway companies''claimed a reduction of five shillings, but Mr. Cramp urged that only a shilling was the point at issue, and his speech thus gained u the men £1,800,000 a year.—Aus. and N.Z.
