FOOTBALL.
STAR CLUB. All members of the Star Club are raminded of a practice to be held on the racecourse at 10 a.m. to-morrow (Friday). An Invitation to intending members is extended. The following names were inadvertently omitted irqin the list of vice-presidents in the report of the Star Club’s annual meeting:—Messrs. L. A. Nolan, J. Kissick, R. Mascall, F. Faber, T. 'C. List, and R. BarHAWERA CLUB The annual meeting of the Hawera Football Club was held last Saturday. Mr. R. Greenbacks, president .of the club, presided over an attendance of about 50 members. It was decided that the delegates of the Hawera Club to the union be instructed to support Mr. McLeod’s scheme with a view to giving it a trial for twelve months. Twenty new members were proposed and admitted. The election of officers resulted as follows: Fatron, Mr. Alex. Hunter; president, Mr. R. Greenbanks; vice-presidents, Mrs. Gibson and Messrs. Dury and Greig; club captain, Mr. F. Given, secretary, Mr. L. G. Beamish; assistant secretary, Mr. S. Day; treasurer, Mr. J. Goodwin; hon. auditor, Mr. R. F. Page; deputies to Rugby Union, Messrs. L. G. Beamish and J. Goodwin; selectors, Messrs. R. Fogarty, I. G. Beamish and field captain.
