RATES ON CARGO.
REDUCTION ON STEAMERS APPLY TO MOST GOODS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The shipping companies announce at reduction in general cargo rates to be-* come enective on Monday. The new rates show reductions front £1 12s 6d to £4 10s per ton and apply, to hemp, tallow, pelts, hides, kauri; gum, glaxo, and preserved meats. Tha reduced rates apply to most clashes uF general cargo.
