NEW SOUTH WALES MINERALS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Sydney, March 17. The mineral output of New South Wales in 1920 amounted to £-11,500,000, an increase of £1,500,000 on 1919. The aggregate value of minerals won up to 1920 was 422 millions. The coal output increased 25 per cent. Gold amounted to 15,000,000 ounces, valued at £'63,000,000. The production of pig-iron reached 86,096 tons, valued at £650,000. -s-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. GAOL AS WOOLLEN MILLS. Syßney, March 17. The, Labor caucus approved the proposal of the Textile Workers’ Union to convert the Parramatta Gaol into woollen mills. PACIFIC TRADE. Sydney, March 17. Dr. Mainwaring, Bishop of Melanesia, says that traders and planters in the Pacific Islands are turning their attention to American and English traders instead of to Sydney, owing to the strikes in Australia. Copra is being shipped in overseas boats bringing trading goods when returning.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. THE FLOUR MARKET. Melbourne, March 17. Advices from Canada state that the latter is offering flour to the East £t £l7 12s 6d per ton f.o.b. Australian is offered at £l9, with freight £1 higher.
