The road overbridge which the Public Works Department intends O to build at the Skeet Road railway crossing, will be at the second point where the railway crosses the road, westward of the junction of the Skeet Road with the Hunter Road, a distance of one mile, twenty-two chains from Te Roti. A series of lectures will be delivered at the Parish Hall, Stratford, by Mr. Charles Waterhouse, commencing on Wednesday evening at 7.30 p.m., when th* subject will be “Man’s Nature and the Advent of Truth.” All interested are invited to attend. The annual meeting of the Toko Football Club will be held on Wednesday at 8.30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Walters and their son Herbert, formerly living at Cardiff, and Mr. Robert Hewitt, are in Stratford at present on a holiday, having motored through a few days ago. At the same time Mr. Walters is interesting himself *in local body affairs, with special regard to tarred roads, etc. He is staying at Mr. W. A. Hewitt’s.
