HAWERA LADIES’ CLUB. At the annual meeting, there was a satisfactory attendance of members. The report and balance-sheet showed that the past season was very good and the finances were in a good position. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mrs. Tonks; Vice-president, Mrs. Foyster; captain, Miss Burgess; hon. secretary, Mrs. R. McLean; hon. treasurer, Miss Beamish ; committee, Mrs. Nancarrow, Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. Glasson, and Miss Caplen, with captain, secretary, and treasurer. The puhfscription was fixed at £2 2s.—’Star.
