MONEY COMING IN WELL. STATEMENT BY THE PREMIER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. In regard to the payment of income tax, the Premier stated to-day that it should be remembered that a' small portion of income tax was not payable until the 15th instant, on account of the notices being issued later than usual, but he had been informed by the department that otherwise the tax had come in as well as in previous years. It was satisfactory to know that many of the taxpayers who had arranged for accommodation in respect to the payment of the tax. had come along at the last momenf and stated they were able to pay, and they did so.
