BOATS THAT WILL FLY.

LATEST TYPE OF AEROPLANE. CAN GO TO SEA FOR MONTHS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received March 4, 11.40 p.m. London, March 3. Flying ships, a new type of aeroplane, are built to the order of the Government. These have a long, light and slender hull capable of riding waves, and they carry riding lights, anchors and foghorns. The craft are capable of accompanying a fleet to sea for months, and do not require a mother ship. A huge life-saving parachute has been patented, designed to lift from a disabled aeroplane a cabin and an entire complement of passengers. It is workable a few feet from the ground, and operated by a pilot.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
