RUSSIA’S FALL?
BOLSHEVISM CONDEMNED, HOW THE WORKERS SUFFER. FORCED LABOR AND SLAUGHTER. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Feb. 28, 10.50 p.m. Washington, Feb. 27. The American Federation of Labor has issued a manifesto condemning Bolshevik rule in Russia, and severly criticising the treatment of Russian labor, which is shown to be a victim of Communism. It is pointed out that British and Italian labor organisations, after sending missions to Russia, found nothing there worthy of copying and much to be condemned. The federation presents evidence to show that in addition to inaugurating a system of forced labor, which the Russian workmen refused to accept, the Bolsheviks have now adopted a campaign- of ruthless persecution and slaughter. Labor unionists and Socialists in Russia and foreign labor leaders have appealed to the labor world to raise its voice in protest. Russian leaders who have informed foreign missions concerning the true conditions prevailing have been killed, imprisoned, or mas-sacred.—Aus.-N.Z, Cable Assn.
