JAPAN PUNISHES CULPRITS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Washington, Feb. 22. Mr. Colby, Secretary of State, has announced that Japan has apologised for the Langdon incident, and indicated that, besides the suspension of General Nissi, Hara, the barracks officer, the assistant barracks officer, the regimental and company commander had been sentenced to terms of imprisonment, and the sentry sentenced to 30 days’ confinement, having been guilty of deception in giving his testimony.— Aus.-N.Z.
