TIIE DUKE COMPLETES MISSION. By Telegraph.—Press Assn Copyright. Delhi, Feb. 22. A serious religious affray occurred at Nakara, near Lahore. There were many Sikh casualties. The bodies of the victims were burnt. British and Indian troops are isolated in the town. A large number of Sikhs threaten to attack Nakara to avenge the deaths of their coreligionists. Lahore officials are inquiring into tfie outbreak, and the suspected leaders have been arrested. The Duke of Connaught opened the Legislative Council ait Bombay, completing his mission to India. In honor of his visit the Governor remitted the compensation due from Ahmedahed for the damages caused to property during the outbreak there in April, 1919, The non-00-operators’ hartal at Bombay continues; business is practically at a standstill, and street traffic held up.— Aus.-N.Z.
