MOTOR-CYCLING.

NEW PLYMOUTH SPORTS. A meeting of the New Plymouth Motor Cycle Club was held last night. Entries have come in very freely, all the races being well filled, and a total of 86 entries have been iWt-i ved. Owing to unforseen circumstances the light-weight championship has been abandoned, and in its place the Taranaki (middleweight handicap for machines up to 500 c.c. has been substituted. Fourteen competitors will be competing in this event, and it should be the keenest run race of the meeting. All arrangements are completed for the meeting on March 5. The rain of yesterday has proved beneficial to ti e course, enabling 'some heavy rolling to be done. The handicaps will be published in a few days.
