EGMONT A. AND P. SHOW.

NEXT WEEK’S FIXTURE. This year’s show, to be held at Hawera next Wednesday and Thursday under the auspices of the Egrnont A. and P. Association, promises to be one of the most successful yet held at Hawera. The association has catered for exhibitors by increasing the prize list and also l by erecting cattle pens to house an additional 152 head of cattle, as well as providing 48 feed boxes. Thirty additional horse boxes and feed boxes are also provided. Exhibitors also have responded very .freely, with the result that good „ entries have already been received, and by the close tonight they should establish a record. The dairy stock# in particular will make a good showing. All the leading Jersey ' breeders are competing for the 100 guinea cup presented by Messrs, Lovell and Christmas, to be awarded for the most pqints in the Jersey section. The Egrnont" chaimplon jjimp, for which the purses offered are 100 guineas, 25 guineas, and 10 guineas, has attracted the best horses in the Dominion, whilst the other events have filled well. Complete arrangements are being made by the officials and the secretary (Mr. C. R. Stannard) for the convenience and coAifort of exhibitors and patrons. .
