CROQUET.
WAITARA v. PARK. An enjoyable day was spent on the Park Croquet Club’s grounds on Wednesdiy, when a party of Six ladies from Waitara cams ?n to try conclusions with the Park team. Luncheon and afternoon tea were provided by the members, and a willing band of non-players did tte work of waiting on guests and players. After nine closely contested games, Waitara proved the winners by the narrow margin of 2 points. The following are the scores, Waitara being mentioned first:— Doubles.—Mrs. Nosworthy- and Mrs. Telfer 11 v. Mrs. McGahey and Mrs. Hill, 26; Mrs. Fraser and Mrs. Wyllie 26 v. Mrs. Fulton and Mrs. Black 23; Mrs. R’a'r and Mrs. Ford 19 f Mrs. Willis and Miss Hodder 26. Singles.—Mrs. Noswonhy 26 v. Mrs. McGahey 11; Mrs. Telfar 17 v. Mrs. Hi‘< 26; Mrs.! Fraser 21 v.
