COMPENSATION CASE FAILS. By Telegraph.—Press Associatioh. Auckland, Feb. 17. Tn the Arbitration Court, Lilian Brinsley claimed £520 compensation on the death of her husband from the Hikurangi Coal Company. Brinsley, when using the track alongside the railway line, was struck by the engine. The court found that although the railway line was habitually used as a means of access to the mine workings, there was no necessity to use it and gave judgment for the defendant. Leave was reserved to apply for costs.
