THE SYSTEM OE SUPPLY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Replying to criticism of the methods of the Board of Trade in particular relation to sugar supplies, the Hon. E. P. Lee (Minister of Industries and Commerce) said no discrimination was exercised in order to supply sugar for jammaking, but supplies for non-essential industries were cut down, and supplies to grocers were increased. The boa.’d was not refusing supplies of sugar, and allocations were made as generous as possible. No sugar was hoarded.
