SLACK SALE AT NAPIER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. At the second wool sale of the season bidding was slack and of. 17230 bales offered less than 20 per cent was sold. American competition was dull, owing to uncertainty as to the future tariff policy of the United States. Bradford bidding was also slow, owing to the unsettled state of the Home market. Best crossbreds declined 2d to 2%d, medium and coarse wool 3 / 2 d to 2d. However there was improvement, 2d to 2£d being received for wool for local requirements. Fleece wool prices ranged crossbred s|d to B%d, fine crossbred hoggets 7d to ll%d, medium crossbred hoggets 4|d to Sd, coarse crossbred hoggets 3fd to 5%d, lambs (good) 7|d to 10%d, medium ofd to Bd, fine first pieces 7%d to B£d, medium first pieces 4d to GJ, second pieces 3id to sfd, bellies 3%d to 4%d, locks U/ 2 d to 2£d.
