The Chicago Tribune’s Paris correspondent is authoritatively informed that Roumania and Poland have formed a military alliance for mutual protection in the event of a Bolshevik attack on Bukowina and Bessarabia. The Post Office has announced that the Pacific Mail Steamship Company will, on February 1, inaugurate a service of twenty-knot American steamships from San Francisco to Honolulu, Manila, Saigon, Singapore, and Calcutta.
