DOMINION NEWS.

MEMORIES OF THE TROOPS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Prime Minister has received a letter from the Rev. Charles Steer, vicar of Hornchurch, Essex, where the New Zealand Division had a big convalescent camp during the war, thanking him most sincerely, on behalf of his congregation and the Hornchurch peopue, for his letter and testimonials of New Zealand’s thanks. He would have the testimonial framed and hung in the church as a memorial. New Zealand coat of arms had been sent to him by the High Commissioner. A similar letter of thanks from the Mayor of Bournemouth. TUTANEKAI’S CRUISE. Dunedin, Jan. 28. The Tutanekai returned this morning from a cruise to the Bounty, Antipodes and Campbell Islands. The food depots at the Bounty and Antipodes Islands were intact. Owing to bad weather, the Tutanekai was unable to land stores and material for the erection of a new depot at Bounty Island. There was no sign of a castaway. The vessel spent two days at the Campbells. The men employed there were in good health. The season was reported excellent. About 3*200 sheep had been shorn out of 6000. The Tutanekai brought back two fine specimens of the King penguin, seven Royal penguins and two Emperor penguin’s for the Wellington Zoo.
