AGE LIMIT FOR ACTORS.
AGITATION IN FRANCE. London, Jan. 8. The younger members of the Paris State Theatre —the Comedie Francaise object to the veteran stars “lagging superfluous” on the stage, to the detriment of the younger members of the profession, who are not able to advance. They have sent an ultimatum to the management of the theatre demanding that there should be a compulsory age retirement, which should be—for actors 75 years and for actresses 65 years.
