DR. TOZER’S DEATH.
SCENE AT HOSPITAL. In a quiet ward in the Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, one day last week, a further scene in the Dr. Tozer tragedy was enacted. Mr. Adrian, C.S.M., accompanied by Detective Ramsay and others, entered the room, and, after informing Mrs. Mort, who was in bed, of the charge against her —that of murdering Dr. Tozer—informfed her that the hearing of the case had again been postponed, this time until January 14. Mrs. Mort sat up in bed, with her rjands clasped around her knees. She wore a kimeno and a boudoir cap. She listened quietly to the Magistrate, and, when he had finished, smiled, and bowed, thanking him. Her husband stood by the bedside. Mrs. Mort said that she remembered Mr. Adrian coming to her before, and sb. a also recognised the detect ive. Physically Mre. Mort is said to be very much improved. She spoke in a clear, distinct voice, and did not seem at all disturbed by the visit of the authorities.
A woman police officer was in attendance in the room, and a uniformed poceman stood guard th# door
