INDIANS IN FIJI.
LARGE EXODUS REPORTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Jan. 13, 9.55 p.m. Sydney, Jan. 13. The Rev. Small, a Methodist missionary at Fiji, states the exodus of Indians from Fiji during the past year assumed considerable proportions, and continues at an increasing rate. One steamer recently carried 1600 adults and 300 children back to India. The exodus is partly due to political agitation. Several agitators from India visited the islands, whose mission was to represent, or misrepresent, things to the Indians.— Aue.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
