DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIP. By TeJegrnph - Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night-To-day’s results of the New Zealand croquet tournament are:— New Zealand Championship, first round —A. Ross defeated Miss Gerard, R. Coughley defeated G. R. Holmes, Mrs. Brabant. (Hastings) defeated P. McDowell: G. Murray Aynsley defeated Mrs. Maddren. New Zealand Ladies’ Championship (second round).—Mrs. Brabant defeated Mrs. Fletcher. Mrs- Maddren defeated Mrs. Richardson. New Zealand Doubles Championship (third round).—Mrs. E. Smith and T. Tomlinson defeated Mrs. Barnes and P. McDowell; Mrs. Murray Aynsley and G. Murray Aynsley defeated Mrs. Lili and J. W. Lili. At the annual meeting of the Now Zealand Crdtquet Council, Dr. E. Whitaker was elected President, and Dr. Fullerton vice-president. It was decided to hold the next Dominion championship meeting at Palmerston North.
