SOVIET FAVORED
UNREST OF FRENCH WORKERS. By Telegraph.—Press Aa«i.—Copyright Received Jan. 1, 7.5 p.m. Paris, Jan. 31. Moderate French Socialists have issued a manifesto to the workers, stating: “We made every effort to avoid a split, but' the majority yielded to the occult influence of Moscow. We true Socialists will continue organising the workers to constitute a powerful party.” The manifesto concludes with an appeal in favor of the Soviet system. M. Cachin, an extremist leader, writing in I’Humanite, says the Tours decision indicates the workers’ determination to prepare conditions for a more favorable class warfare, which is daily becoming more bitter.—Aus. and N.Z.
