PORT OF NEW PLYMOUTH. big increase for the year. The return of the Customs revenue for the port of New Plymouth during last year shows that fhe duties collected amounted to over £26,000 more than in the preceding year, while there was also a substimtial increase in the beer duty. Net Customs % £57,126 Beer duty ... £2,000 Other receipts £1,165 WELLINGTON RETURNS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington. Dec. 31. The Customs receipts for the port of Wellington for the year were nearly double those of the previous year. The figures were:— 1920, customs £2,493,607 7s 4d, beer duty £37,174 13s 9d; 1919, £1,392,440 7s, beer duty £35,488 2s 9d The above figures easily constitute a record for the port. CHRISTCHURCH RETURNS. Christchurch, Dec. 31. The Customs revenue collected in Christchurch during December, 1920, totalled £120,749, compared with £53,947 for December, 1919. The total for the year is £1.248,664 compared with £701,65'1 for 1919.
