A dispatch from Tientsin states that the Tientsin Government Mint has concluded a million dollar loan with the Chino-French Bank' under which the bank can purchase all bullion and take charge of the output of silver dollars and copper coins. .It is understood that the funds supplied through the hank are Japanese. It is rumored that a large part of the loan will be used by the military and civil Governments of the Chihili Province for election expenses and control of the new Parliament.
Chinese bankers have sent a protest to the Chinese Government alleging that the Chirio-French bank's control of the mint's output will bfi highly detrimental to native banking interests.
