ELECTRIC LIGHT LOAN.
APPROVAL TO RAISE JIOO.OOO. MAJORITY OF 500 IN FAVOR. The question of raising an additional loan of £OO,OOO in connection with hydro-electric extensions was put before the New Plymouth ratepayers yesterday, and in-a small poll the loan was sanctioned by a majority of 500. The total number who voted was Gill, out of which there was the small quota of live informal papers. Polling arrangements were under the management of the returning officer, Mr. R. Day, who had the final figures completed before 7.15 p.m. Details of the voting are: For. Against.
